Are we there yet?
Hector from Rapido cab company in Union City arrived eary (6:20) and sped (really) us to the airport - our adventure started!

Of course we overpacked, that's our thing. Lily and Joe brought their instruments,I look forward to being lulled by their sweet music, they by the clatter of computer keyboard late into the night.

The flight was uneventful and we all quickly settled in with our various reading projects, napping, game boy, and other favorite activities :)
We landed in St. Maartin and the rest of the afternoon is a bit of a blur with more wild tax rides to the ferry, immigration stuff etc
On the ferry ride over to Anguilla (20 minutes) I thought it was all over - the overpacked (with people) boat flew through choppy waters at incredibly high speeds - we were bouncing around - me screaming, lily laughing, Joe squeezing my arm until his knuckles turned white- We couldn't understand how everybody else was so calm, chit-chatting about this and that. I'll take air turbulance any day! Now if we we can only make it to our home away from home in one piece it will have been a good day.....
Bernardo, our cab driver knows Johnno (our home exchange partner's dad whose house we're staying in), and he has an idea of where the house is (no street and numbers down here), so we're off to a good start... more later

The high-speed boat ride thru choppy waters reminds me of a similar wacky ride up in Alaska, screaming on a catamaran up a gulf, with sea lions lurking hungrily nearby.
Joe and Lily better play those instruments! And sing!!
